Order Callbacks

Sync new orders the moment they arrive, instead of waiting for the next scheduled check.

For Cloud Sync subscribers. Order callbacks are part of the optional $8.99/month Cloud Sync subscription and have no effect without it.

How callbacks work

With a Cloud Sync subscription, Brick Seller Companion checks BrickLink and Brick Owl for new orders on a schedule, about every 10 minutes. A callback (also called a webhook) lets the marketplace notify us as soon as something changes, so an order sync starts within seconds instead. See How Inventory Sync Works for the full picture.

Callbacks are optional. If one isn't set up, or a notification is ever missed, the scheduled check still picks the order up. If you have paused scheduled runs in the Cloud Dashboard, callbacks are still received but won't start a sync.

BrickLink

Needs a one-time setup. You paste your personal callback URL into your BrickLink API settings (steps below). New orders start an order sync, and new BrickLink messages send a push notification to your devices.

Brick Owl

No setup needed. The callback is registered for you automatically using your Brick Owl API key, as soon as the key is saved. Brick Owl registrations expire after 7 days, so it is renewed daily. New orders start an order sync.

Requires an active Cloud Sync subscription and a connected BrickLink store (see BrickLink Setup).

  1. In Brick Seller Companion, go to Settings → Subscription and find the BrickLink Callback card.
  2. Tap Copy URL. This copies your personal callback URL to the clipboard.
  3. Tap Go to BrickLink API Settings, or open BrickLink's API registration page and sign in.
  4. In the Callback URL section, paste the URL into the empty field (it starts with http://), replacing that text, and click Add.
  5. The URL now appears in the list above the empty field. If an older Brick Seller Companion URL is already listed, you can remove it with delete.

BrickLink doesn't send a confirmation when the URL is added, so the status updates after your next BrickLink order or message arrives. Once it does, the BrickLink Callback row in the Cloud Dashboard shows Active with the time of the last event.

Keep your callback URL private. The end of the URL is a secret key unique to your account, which is how we know a notification belongs to your store. Don't share it or post it publicly.

Open the Cloud Dashboard and look under Callbacks.
