PayPal Address Verification Setup

Verify a buyer's PayPal shipping address against their BrickLink or Brick Owl order before you ship.

Read-only: this app never processes payments or touches your funds. It only reads your own PayPal transaction history to compare shipping addresses.

Step 1 — Create a PayPal Developer app

  1. Go to the PayPal Developer Dashboard.
  2. Go to Apps & Credentials, then click Create App.

Step 2 — Enable Transaction Search

This step is required, not optional — without it every order will show "Unable to Verify" in the app.

  1. Open your new app in the PayPal Developer Dashboard.
  2. Choose the Sandbox or Live tab, matching the environment toggle you plan to use in the app.
  3. Scroll to "Features", check "Transaction Search", and save.

Step 3 — Copy your Client ID and Secret into the app

In Brick Seller Companion, go to Settings → PayPal, paste in your Client ID and Secret, choose Sandbox or Live to match what you enabled above, and tap Save and Test Connection.

Address verification then runs automatically for BrickLink and Brick Owl orders — look for a Match, Mismatch, or Unable to Verify indicator on each order.
